SELF-ASSESSMENT AND ACTION PLANNING:
USING THE BALDRIGE ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE FOR HEALTH CARE

easy Insight : Take a First Step Toward a Baldrige Self-Assessment (formerly e-Baldrige)
easy Insight introduces you to the Baldrige Organizational Profile, part of the Criteria for Performance Excellence. The Organizational Profile is a snapshot of your organization, the key influences on how you operate, and the key challenges you face. The first section, Organizational Description, addresses your organization’s health care environment and your key relationships with patients and other customers, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders. The second section, Organizational Challenges, calls for a description of your organization’s competitive environment, your key strategic challenges and advantages, and your system for performance improvement. If you identify topics for which conflicting, little, or no information is available, it is possible that the Organizational Profile can serve as your complete assessment, and you can use these topics for action planning.
